Annapurna

Few places on earth can pack as much variety into one trek as the Annapurna Region. One day you are walking through terraced rice fields and rhododendron forests, the next crossing high mountain passes with breathtaking views of the Himalayas extending endlessly in front of you. It’s this unending feeling of discovery that keeps trekkers returning to it. This area is home to some of the most welcoming communities of Nepal – Gurung and Thakali villages where the locals still live by age-old traditions, where dal bhat is served with a smile and where teahouse fires burn long after sunset. Trekking here is not only about the mountains. It’s the people, the food, the rhythm of life on the trail. Whether it’s your first trek or you’ve done this before, there's a route for you in the Annapurna Region. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a short, intensely rewarding journey into the heart of the Himalaya while the legendary Annapurna Circuit is a full loop through dramatic landscapes, from subtropical jungle to high alpine desert. Both routes offer classic views of Annapurna I, the sacred Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and the soaring Dhaulagiri massif. The Annapurna Region is accessible, well organized, and endlessly beautiful, and it remains one of the world’s great trekking destinations for good reason.
