Rent a BYD Dolphin EV in Nepal. Compact Luxury, With Driver

Description
Kathmandu traffic is loud, and most of it isn't the engines anymore, it's the horns. Step into a Dolphin and that changes immediately: no engine noise at idle, no diesel smell drifting in when the window's cracked, just a quiet cabin while the city does its usual thing outside the glass. That alone makes a half-day Durbar Square-to-Boudhanath-to-Pashupatinath loop feel different from doing it in a regular petrol sedan.
The Dolphin is BYD's compact EV, built for exactly this kind of use: city driving, private point-to-point rides, half or full-day sightseeing circuits. It's not the vehicle for a multi-day Pokhara-Chitwan road trip or a mountain jeep track, it's the one for getting around Kathmandu Valley in something quiet, modern, and noticeably calmer than sitting in a fuel car with the AC fighting the heat and the noise both.
$75 a day, driver and charging both included, covering up to 200km. Nepal's fast-charging network has grown enough on the main highways and in the valley that range anxiety isn't really the issue it used to be, most EVs here charge to 80% in under an hour, and our driver plans the route so charging happens on a natural break, not as a detour. You don't manage any of that. You get picked up, get driven, get charged behind the scenes.
Who this is for: travelers who want a private car for the day rather than joining a group tour bus. Business visitors who need reliable point-to-point rides between meetings without haggling with taxis each time. Anyone doing the classic Kathmandu Valley sightseeing circuit who'd rather not sit in a fuel car in valley traffic. If you're moving a group of six or more, or heading out to Pokhara or Chitwan for several days, the Hiace or a fuel SUV is going to serve you better, ask us and we'll point you the right way rather than fit you into the wrong car.
Driver, not self-drive. EVs have quicker throttle response than a fuel car and a different driving feel, and our drivers who run the Dolphin know both the car and the charging stops along common routes. You're not learning either on the fly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this self-drive, or does it come with a driver?
Driver only. The Dolphin comes with an experienced driver who's comfortable with EV handling and knows where the charging stops are on common Kathmandu Valley routes.
Does the $75/day rate include charging?
Yes, driver and charging are both built into the $75/day rate, up to 200km. It's a straightforward day rate, not a base price with charging billed separately.
What if we need to travel further than 200km in a day?
Tell us your planned route when booking and we'll confirm any extra charge for distance beyond 200km upfront, so there's nothing added after the fact.
How many people and how much luggage fits?
The Dolphin is a compact EV, comfortable for up to 4 passengers with everyday luggage, not the choice for a group with heavy trekking duffels. For larger groups or more gear, our Scorpio jeep or Hiace is the better option.
What does a typical sightseeing day look like?
Most private-ride bookings cover the Kathmandu Valley UNESCO circuit, Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath, in a half or full day, with the driver managing pacing and any charging stop along the way.
