Langtang Region

Situated in the center of Nepal, the Langtang Valley Trek provides a magnificent experience across some of the most breathtaking scenery and culturally diverse areas of the nation. This walk is well known for being easily accessible from Kathmandu, for its stunning landscape, and for providing a chance to witness the real Tibetan-influenced cultures of the Tamang and Sherpa people.
Overview:
Depending on the route and speed chosen the Langtang Valley Trek might take anywhere from 7 to 12 days to complete. Trekkers will traverse the protected Langtang National Park, home to a variety of rhododendron forests and the endangered red panda, among other plants and animals.
Scenery and Landscapes:
Syabrubesi, a small town that acts as the entrance to the Langtang Valley, is where the trek starts. Hikers travel through thick oak, maple, and pine forests as they ascent, with roaring rivers and waterfalls sporadically scattered throughout. Gradually, the scene opens up to reveal the towering peaks of the Langtang range and alpine meadows interspersed with grazing yaks.
