After departing from Machhermo, we will hike on to Gokyo. In Gokyo, it takes a day to become used to the climate. We shall next proceed to Thagnak. We will climb via the Cho La Pass to get to Dzongla from Thagnak. We will now take the Tengboche path, which leads to the traditional Everest Base Camp Trek. We have an amazing walk ahead of us to reach Everest Base Camp from Lobuche.

Although the trek to Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lakes is difficult, the scenery is worth it. We will spend some time at base camp before making our way down to Gorakshep for the night. From here, we will walk to Kalapatthar and then descend to Pheriche. We’ll head down to Namche Bazaar after leaving Pheriche so we can relax. Then, we’ll take Phakding to descend to Lukla. Finally, take a plane from Lukla back to Kathmandu.
